Recorded over three days and nights in Rudolf Stingel's New York studio, the album features eight improvisations alongside Stravinsky's Sonata for Piano and Debussy's Jardins sous la pluie.
The vinyl sleeve features album art and design by Rudolf Stingel Studio. This recording was made in Stingel's NYC studio (in the spray room); The Steinway concert grand was placed directly on one of Stingel’s canvases (from his Gold series); as Drungle recorded, the weight of the piano and the movement of his feet on the pedals left permanent traces on the surface, making the artwork itself an integral part of the recording process.
